ATM usage fees in India

ATM usage fees in India

In India, ATM annual fees( Rs. 100 in Govt. bank and Rs. 500 in private bank).[18] In 2007, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the country's central bank, had issued a directive to all commercial banks to freeze ATM charges and, with effect from 1 April 2009, abolish ATM service charges altogether. Since 2009, customers of any licenced bank are able to use the ATMs of other banks without paying a service charge. Earlier, banks charged between INR 10 and INR 35 per reciprocal transaction.Today a person holding card of other banks can withdraw amount from other bank ATM's but the amount of transaction is limited to 5; after 5th i.e. 6th transaction forward the person would be charged up to INR 20.[19]
However, banks can still surcharge for items such as credit card ATM cash advances and at foreign ATMs. In addition, RBI imposes significant foreign exchange restrictions on the use of Indian debit VISA/MasterCard abroad. For example, Indian debit VISA cards are routinely marked "Valid in India and Nepal only" due to the country's restrictive foreign exchange reserve policy.
In the same directive, free mutual ATM usage was reverted to 5 free such transactions per monthly statement cycle; beyond which a cap of INR 20 has  been fixed for ATM cards issued to savings bank/term deposit account customers. However ATM Cards issued to current, cash credit, and unit trust account holders would be charged from the first instance. Source wikki

prevent waste of time and improve the Handwriting Speed

Prevent waste of time and improve the Handwriting Speed

1) Always join all the Alphabets in English Language – The reason for this is “lesser the pen lifts, faster the writing will be”.
2) Practice Handwriting on the day of the Exams for 15 minutes – this will provide warming up and flexibility to the muscles and nerves of the Forearm for easy movements.
3) Use pens which you are comfortable with – Do not use new pens on the day of the Exams, since you would have adjusted to the width and length of the pen while holding it.
4) In case of Ball pens, always carry 3 to 5 extra refills which are already used partially – so that you do not use a new refill which may temporarily hamper your speed and rhythm of writing.
5) In case of Pencils, always carry 3 to 5 extra pencils which are already sharpened – this will make you save time from sharpening the pencil leads during exam hours.
6) Do not hold the pen or pencil very tightly – this will slow down your Speed of writing. Medium and normal holding will be sufficient.
7) Do not press the pen or pencil heavily on the paper – this will take lots of your energy to write and will make you exhausted and lessen your speed of writing.
8) Be aware of the fact that our brain will recollect the answers for a particular question very quickly, but our hand will not move that much faster to write on the paper equivalent to the speed of our brain. So do not hurry in a panic while writing the answers.
9) Avoid any kind of anxiety, fear or mental stress on the Exam day – these will hamper the style and look of your Handwriting since they psychologically affect your performance of writing.
10) On the day of the Exams, avoid wearing any kinds of Rings, Threads, Bangles on the writing hand so that they do not physically hinder your pen holding or hand movements while writing.

Difference Between Excise Duty and Custom Duty

Difference Between Excise Duty and Custom Duty

There are many taxes that a local government collects from people running their businesses or doing service in that country. There taxes are collected to meet the expenses incurred by the government in developing infrastructure and providing basic necessities to its citizens. These taxes are of two types direct and indirect taxes.
Two types of indirect taxes are excise duty and custom duty. Excise duty is collected on the goods produced by a manufacturer that are to be sold in that particular country.
Custom duty is levied on the goods that are imported from other country and are meant to be sold in the country. Both of these taxes are indirect taxes as they are passed on to the consumer by adding them in the costing.
